Situated at the south-eastern corner of County of Dufferin, the Town of Mono stretches from Highway #9 along the southern border to about twenty kilometres north to Highway #89 along the northern border. Airport Road (also known as County Road 18) is close to the eastern boundary and Highway 10 / Hurontario Street is the most western major roadway. It’s sixteen kilometres from east to west. It borderson the east with the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio andon the west with the Township of Amaranth.It’s within commuting distance of urban centres such as Toronto, Brampton and Guelph.

Mono has heritage restaurants; the Globe Restaurant since 1859 and the Mono Cliffs Inn in the former 1853 Mono Centre General Store. The farm-to-table menu changes daily in this homey country inn with a fireplace & a cellar pub. Library services are available in 3 different areas. New Tecumseth has branches in Alliston, Tottenham and Beeton; Orangeville has branches on Alder Street and Mill Street; as well as the one branch in Shelburne.
Recreation choices range from the Mono Nordic Ski Club, Mono Tennis Club or the Monora Lawn Bowling Club, fishing and rowing at Island Lake. Mono has seven Municipal Parks with playgrounds.
