Mulmur Township is at the north-east corner of Dufferin County, about an hour’s drive north-west of the City of Toronto. Arterial roads are County Road 124, Highway 10 and Highway 89.

Mulmur straddles the famous Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The level, fertile fields above the escarpment are a prime environment for growing crops. The escarpment itself consists of steep slopes and river valleys surrounded by extensive forests. Below itis gently rolling farmland and rural areas. The area was initially settled by Europeans, primarily the Irish along with the English and Scottish, in the 1830’s. Mulmur Township still encompasses some traditional agricultural family farms, and it has become a preferred area for weekend country retreats as well as home to many commuters.

The fabulous farm land is home to many on-farm stores including Fiddle Foot Farm, The Heritage Bee Co., Lions Share Farm, Maple Grove Farm, Not So Hollow Farm, Skye Line Farms and Toad Hole Farm. Peace Valley Ranch has online ordering. For local produce, honey, maple syrup, weekly produce boxes, pollinator plants or meat look in the Headwaters Farm Fresh Guide created together by Headwaters Food and Farming and “In the Hills” magazine.https://www.inthehills.ca/category/headwaters-farm-fresh/

Mrs. Mitchell’s Restaurant offers a superior dining experience where the freshest ingredients are prepared simply, combined harmoniously and presented beautifully while enjoying the colonial décor and upscale service. The Terra Nova Public House Restaurant and Pub offers a unique pub/country style dining experience creating dishes using only the freshest, highest quality ingredients sourced from local farmers. All of the meals at the Rosemount General Store and Kitchen are made from local farm fresh ingredients for a delightful culinary experience.

Online ordering, takeout, delivery, and curb side service are available daily.
